Bingo Glossary

Although online Bingo is a game that is entirely governed by luck, there are several things you can do to increase your chances to win. Mastering the Bingo Lingo is one of them. Learn Bingo terms, use them wisely and go for it!!!

Blackout or Coverall or Full House: A pattern where you must complete the entire card in order to win.

Caller: The person who announces the bingo numbers for the players.

Card: Your bingo playing card.

Chat room: When playing an online Bingo game, an area where you can communicate with other bingo players.

Dauber: The marker that you use on your bingo card to mark off the numbers that are already announced.

Early bird game: A bingo game that starts before another regularly scheduled game.

Free space: The middle square of your bingo card. It's free every game and will count towards your winning pattern.

Game Board: The display- board over your cards that shows you balls that already in play.

Jackpot: What you're playing for!! A big prize usually awarded for achieving a set pattern (usually a full house) within a predetermined number of balls.

Pattern: Games are often divided into "patterns" - for example play for the four corners, the middle line, and a full house would represent three patterns. More complex patterns are offered by a number of online sites.
